: Dear Miss Gaylee,
: I would like to track down something on certain interesting stories passed along by one branch of my family. Although numerous Bent Twiggs in our Family Tree have found their way into the pages of the history books, I want to verify rumors of a close connection to a certain famous longhunter and Indian fighter. No one in the family has ever consulted a professional Genealog about this, but I've got good reason now to trace my roots. I would like to know if the Town Library has any good books on the subject that I could borrow.

Dear Bent,
I have always been interested in the histories of our town citizens, and would be happy to help you with your research. I believe the book that would be just perfect for you is "Trunks of Our Great Family Trees", by Jeannie O'Log. Perhaps you might stop by my house for tea tomorrow afternoon and share some of the stories your family has passed along about this elusive ancestor of yours. That will help me to decide how best to approach the problem, so we won't waste time running rings around ourselves by barking up the wrong tree.
