Dear Seamus,
We have neard again from Three Tales. His party is approaching York and will cross the Big River at The Ferry of a Mr. Wright.
Sign Talker has been carrying messages between us and also, dealing in articles of some trade. I wonder were he obtains alll of these items? Anyway the spring is with us again and the smell of all these people is really getting to be to much.
I can see the green again on the trees and the smell of sweet grass will be wonderful in the small forest glen.
The French and their allies seem to have quietted down for a day or so. We have had no more alarms, and the number of sentries has been reduced. The good Captain though is on the alert and we will only leave Carlisle when he and the higher staff think the area is safe.
Give all of your party my regards. We look to your safe arrival.
GOD SAVE THE KING
