Update on English Traders Captivity

Mes amies,
I have some good news and some bad news about the English Trader`s captivity. First, the good news. My spies tell me she is no longer being held by the "near naked natives" of New Zealand. The bad news is that they traded her to the Aboriginals of Australia. That`s right mes amies, out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Now to make matters worse, it did not take these Aboriginals long to figure out why the NZ Natives wanted to get rid of her so fast. I`ve been told that it`s so bad there, that they have resorted to taking members of their own tribe as hostages and are threatening to do harm to their women and children every couple hours till someone comes and takes ET from them. I for one, being the Gentelman Trader that I am, have put in a bid to buy...I mean save the women and children. (Doc M, where are you? There are people in need of your care) I have also raised my first offer of fifty pounds of trade goods to ONE HUNDRED and FIFTY pounds of goods if they will even THINK about keeping her. At least till sometime after June. I don`t need the competition at Gathering.
Rumors have it that the Dutch Trader has made it back to Rotterdam safely and I am waiting to recieve a report as of yet.
