Seamus,
I write and pray you recievce this bit of news and can offer your great insight into the matter at hand. I just recieved a post from Scotland and in it my Aunt Mary reminded me with a rather brisk tongue that there should be a T in the name of Johnston.
I am NOT a Bloody Engalihman , but a Scot. She always has been
a quick one to lash you with her wit. She reminded me of our past generations standing with the Bonnie Prince against the might of the crown. Though she forgiven me for fighting for the King today, I am NOT to forget where and from whom I entered this world. Actually, I am glad she is in Scotland and I here in Penns great woods. We are in reciept of your dispatch as to your quest to join us here at Carlisle. I am not sure when we march, but the Captain has told the scouts to watch for you and Timothy and to let you pass with all haste.
Tell Timothy I look forward to meeting him. He is a lucky lad to be travelling with you.
Your Friend and Comrade,
William Johnston
