Hawkeye's shirt in the film was made from a commercially braintanned deer. Almost and some I believe were actually made from chamoise.. but that is not the best nor most practical material for a hunting shirt, as they found out during filming, the osenburg or linen would be the best .. and as for using the Frontier shirt.. remember to slit the front of the shirt to make it a wrap around style..His sash would be the next thing to think of. Use your imagination and remember to use muted colored items..
