: : : While on the path to Miss Marcia's today, to have a mint julip, I heard this woman's voice (at least I think it was a woman) singing "come a little bit closer, you're my kind of man, so big and so strong, come a little bit closer, the night is so long and I'm all alone.." And I swear, right after that was a voice that sounded just like Barry White.....anybody know who this could be? I never could tell exactly where the singing was coming from, and it was in a scary part of the woods, so I didn't venture far off the path. NightSky

: : Anything even remotely sounding like Mr. White would certainly make one "Walk On By" and very quickly.......no matter what part of the woods!!!!
: : Did you get your mint julip??

: Well, it certainly wasn't Doc M!!! Rumor has it that Miss
: Marcia even now roams the Wild Woods, a change machine
: clamped to her belt buckle, moaning and wailing for...er...

Doc: Thank you kindly for the invitation, and if I can still walk straight by this evening, I'll come to Bumpo's for even further celebration. On this day, tradition holds, that 11:00 am find me in my favorite pub, drinking the finest of green beer and shooting pool (they won't let me near the dart board after the first beer!). Although I only shoot pool once a year, by 1:00 pm I'm ready to hustle the best the county has to offer. But the flaming batons have me intrigued, and it sounds too good a show to miss. I will do my best to be in good enough shape not to crawl up on the stage with you, as a duet may not be what you have in mind.
And Doc, you really should learn the wonders of facing the open sky on sweet, warm Southern nights! Beats indoor plumbing any day!
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
