Try some of the Army Surplus stores and ask for Russian Fighter Pilot Boots. You can have the brown leather added to the top and have the rubber bottom replace with a leather sole at a shoe/boot repair shop. The boots usually run under $30 in un-used condition (when you can find them) The mail order company "Sportsman`s Guide" Has them from time to time. That`s where I got my two pair, size 9 and size 10.
