Reading LOTM

My husband has been reading LOTM for the last week with great joy. The two parts he's shared with me are the cave scene which is in the beginning of the book. Just before Hawkeye jumps through the waterfall, he turns and shakes Cora's hand. And today, he's at the end of the book and Magua OFFERS to burn Hawkeye instead of Cora, but old Hawk declines saying it's not even to trade a warrior at the prime of his usefulness for even the best woman on the frontier.

Think I'll stick with the movie and not revisit Mr. Cooper's vision. YRH
