I too am descended from West Virginia mountain folk - from Boone county, a little town called Racine (a little northwest of Charleston.) Did you happen to be acquainted with any Clendenin's or McCormick's while living there. No offense intended, but it gives one a might bit of a shudder to think one may be distantly related to the infamous Doc Mary, seein's how my folk settled the Kanawa Valley (right along with ole' Daniel Boone himself. Great.........Uncle Oscar Clendenin is said to have coon hunted with the boy.)But that kind'a thinkin' ranks right up there with "Oh, you're from California...Do you know Bob? Since it's a remote possibility though, us might bein' kin an' all, if you need any Gnomely related duties tended to at the Gathering, I'd be happy to oblige.
