: as to "coy", if you look at Brit (etc) equipment, arms & accouterments during the F&I War and Rev War, alot of times you will see this mark with the unit designation.
: Its short for "company" (as in "Bradt's Coy").
: You have to forgive me, sometimes, as a living historian/reenactor I sometimes forget that not everyone out there is familiar with this ;-)
