: Well, here she is folks! Eagerly awaited, for such a VERY long time ... a look at our Quack Doctor, Mary ... 2 innocent victims unidentified ... Poor souls! This exclusive pic, delivered to our door by Courier Field Reporters (white from fright, I might add) was taken, incidently, on the site of a "The Crucible" location ... the home of one John Proctor. True!
: Let me say just this, in all seriousness. Mary Long has been visiting this Web Site for a very long time ... just about since Day One! John Evans, who will be attending his third consecutive Mohican Gathering (with his prop collection & family), bought the very first copy of "On The Trail of the Last of the Mohicans." Good old Emily, who's been to both past Gatherings, and hopefully a third, bought the third copy. In between? Pre-Doc, Mary! Mary has brought a brand of humor to this Board, and Web Site, that's all her own, ever since. Whenever there's been a MohicanLand "Crisis," & Lord knows there have been a few, Mary has been there, not only on the Board, but more importantly, with some of the most supportive words, privately, that we've had come through our e-mail box. She's been there for us, through thick & thin, never asking for anything in return, never wavering, always Mary! I really can't imagine being here WITHOUT Doctor Mary ... We thank you, ML, for everything you've done for us. I know, I know ... You'll belittle your contributions ... that's OK. WE KNOW! And so, if you want to see what this poor excuse for a human being REALLY looks like (I can't be nice for TOO long), her pic is now a part of our MohicanLand Masses Page. We've made a few other additions/changes, as well, so check it out ... Now, if ONLY we could figure out a way to lure her to The Gathering!
: Speaking of ... A very nice little group is shaping up as the core of this next Great Mohican Gathering ... 2 time veterans, one time vets, and new folks. And, we haven't even received a bunch of reservations that we know will be coming. As Marcia has mentioned, the Creekside Cabins are just about filled. If you'd like to stay there, e-mail Marcia ASAP. Though more primitive, the still very nice Campin' Cabins have plenty of room yet. For $10 a night, or so, they can be a great choice. Many have asked about proximity of other accommodations to Bear Den ... It figures, with so many staying there, plus the presence of the Trading Post & Gathering Display/Raffle Cabins, Bear Den will be the hub of any night time activity. If you're staying elsewhere, but want to drop in at night, we'd recommend staying in the towns of Linville Falls, Little Switzerland, or Spruce Pine to limit your driving time. It seems early, but time has a way of slipping by. Make your plans soon!
: We are mulling over one or two major changes in what we do here ... Will let you know if, and when, we proceed ...
: So, updated this week: MohicanLand Masses, 2000 Gathering, Killdeer, Director's Expanded Addition, Six Degrees, Trading Post Menu Page ...
: Trivia Question ... Who can tell us what our Opening Page looked like when we started (It's Ok, be honest ... we already KNOW it was UGLY!) ...

Thanks for the update; and I am so indebted to Doc Mary for all of the trips to drugstore for the adult diapers (a GGGGG thing) as I've laughed so hard reading her posts....(Hey-Doc Mary, maybe that's what is a "wrapped up duece"????)thanks for you humor.
And the board's first page. It seems I remember some red/orange/yellow flame thing....(talk about blinded by the sight!) but my memory is faltering...oh, where was I???
