The signs are there as might be plain to some, such as yourself of superior discernment, and not so obvious to others whose powers are not up to yours. From excessive attention to personal ornamentations and costume, to discussions as to size and length of rifle barrels(yeah, sure) and other "gifts," the sap is on the rise as sure as shooting.

It's the time of year when ladies might think twice about venturing down isolated pathways, and avoid locales such as corncribs and Bumppos, where those that find themselves tired of remaining at fort or camp are apt to frequent and distinguish themselves by scandalous misbehavior. No doubt we shall be reading about certain unfortunates in the Courier's blotter.

Forewarned is forearmed,
