We had the pleasure of speaking with Wayne today. Indeed - very much alive!
Regarding the premature death notice, this was once posted here but quickly corrected. At the time, we asked Mark Baker about the 'news' & he explained the death (murder) of "Chance" Watson.

Wayne Watson - for those who don't know - is the designer & maker of the original Killdeer used by DDL in LOTM. It is from Mr. Watson's original plans Bill Rooks crafts the Killdeers featured on our web site.
