: : : : Hi, Diana...hey, *I* always heard "There's a bathroom on the right," too! (Great ears hear alike??) And don't even ASK me about "Little Deuce Coupe!!" We don't wanna GO there! ;o)
: : : : MMMMarcia
: : : Oooops...WAIT! I had a GGGG moment! What I meant to say was, don't even ask me about Blinded By The Light! Little Deuce Coupe is fairly innocuous, as I recall! But what I always heard in BBTL was much less so!
: : : MMMM
: : What?? You don't understand the lyrics of Blinded By The Light?
: : I'm a great Bruce Springsteen fan, and the definitive answer
: : to your question is "Blinded by the light/ Something something
: : something runner in the night." Clear it up any? LOL!
: : And isn't there a "bathroom on the right?" Well, shoot!
: : And I always thought that nice young man was being so
: : helpful -- especially for those of us who suffer from
: : IBBS...Itty-Bitty Bladder Syndrome!
: : Doc M
: ____________
: Bruce Springsteen????!!!! And you Doc M call yourself a fan and don't understand his lyrics??? (I'll take the Manfred Mann version any day)...and the "something something" is:
: "Blinded by the light/wrapped up like a deuce/another runner in the night...."
: Funny how we are back on to "deuce"'s.... (of course I always sang along with my lyrics: "cut loose like a goose in the middle of the night...." made as about that much sense to me as the real lyrics..) The first verse of the song does have the "Indians in the summer/with a teenage diplomat..." so there's my tie in to the LOTM board.
: (Oh, I have always enjoyed the famous: "'scuse me while I kiss this guy" for Purple Haze's famous line....) You know there is actually a whole book written on this "misplaced" lyric stuff??
: Jo
Oh THANK YOU so much - I have spent years wondering what that Blinded by the Light lyric was (my version was bordering on obscene!). Aaaaah - the relief!!
