While watching the movie I noticed that during the massacre Duncan appears to throw himself down the hill. For all intents and purposes what did he do that for? I simply do not see the logic behind it. Also, another thing is that when Hawkeye notices Cora about to be killed it takes him awhile to get across the field to her, by this time (in a relistic view) both she and Alice would already be dead, considering he did have to kill the two indians inbetween him and Cora, and that would have taken him a little bit of time to do. Even if she were still alive by the time he reached her, the force of his tomahawk blow to the indian's head would have caused the indians knife thing to go across Cora's throat, killing her. And yet another thing, is that when Munro's horse was shot he still had the sword in his hand, why didn't he use that to kill Magua? If you think about it, he would have ended up dying anyway (The number of Huron's Surrounding him at the time) but we wouldn't have had to see Eric Schweig and Johdi May die. Which would have made the movie a little more enjoyable for my mother and all the other Eric Schweig fans out there. I suppose you have to have a little chaos though. Please post your insights as to these three events. I would really love to see what everyone thinks. It is my belief that these events need to be explained as they come in a critical juncture at the movie.
