: Yes, he WILL be missed ... Mike Phillips was a man of great wisdom & generosity. He was filled with life ... filled with love ... so VERY proud of who he was, yet so very open to all he encountered.
: As Elaine has mentioned, we had been notified, via e-mail, of his death, some time ago ... As we were unable to confirm this, we refused to believe it. I feel a terrible loss, though he only entered my life for a few minutes on the screen & a few hours on the phone. I think we made it clear, at the time of our interview, what a true pleasure it was to get to know him a bit. I feel honored now that he gave us all what were to be some of the last hours of his life.
: Yes, "He will be missed."

Rich,
All of the wonderful charactaristics you mentioned above came through in the interview. I heard them lound and clear. I also enjoyed the role Mike Pillips played in LOTM. "What are the Huron to do?" was one of the most profound lines to me. I am very, very sorry to hear of his passing.
