Now what do we do about the male proclivity to MISS the commode ALTOGETHER when they 'aim'?!!! Maybe if they left the seat down to begin with, it would force them to RESTRAIN their wild shots? The only other alternative is to MAKE THEM SIT DOWN!! I do NOT buy the flawed logic that, just because they CAN stand up, they SHOULD! This ain't the wild woods, here!!!

....er, sorry....i got a little carried away....
Back to a more reasoned discussion of ... um ... restroom accommodations on the frontier?
