'36 Mohicans!

Hey! This morning as I was getting ready to leave the house, I flipped on American Movie Classics, and there was an old black and white movie running...hmmm, Indians, a guy in a coonskin cap, British soldiers...I watched for a bit. Then I heard, "Montcalm is a soldier and a gentleman, not a butcher!"

HUH?! Wow! This is it! It's the film version that our beloved LOTM was based upon!!!! Yowsah! Kept watching... pretty soon I hear, "Someday I think you and I are going to have a serious disagreement."

Mama Mia!!!!!!!!! I was SO thrilled! Running in and out of the room between dressing and eating, I caught other familiar snippets: "If that is your idea of justice, then the sooner French guns blow the English out of America the better it will be for the colonials!"

He-heeee!!! This is too much!

And the Courier scene is so very similar!!! Now that I know this, I'm going out to rent the '36 version of Last of the Mohicans!!!!
And Randolph Scott looks pretty darn good as Hawkeye too!!!
