1920 Mohicans' actress!

Greetings all! On Wednesday I went to the nursing home and met the woman who was in the 1920 version of Mohicans! Her name is Sigrid Colleen McDonald Platner and she was 15 when the movie was filmed. Unfortunately she wasn't as lucid as she sometimes is so I couldn't talk with her much. She did know that I was a fan, and that I knew the Mohicans version she was in. I got two nice photos and my friend who works at the nursing home helped her sign an autograph for me. It was an emotional visit, and Colleen will soon be going on hospice care. I am honored and moved to have had this opportunity--it is a small world! I will be getting together soon with her daughter-in-law to discuss what she knows of Colleen's career--she is really excited to have hooked up with someone who is familiar with Colleen's work and will help her memory live on. Just thought I would share this incredible experience with all of my friends in Mohicanland!--PP
