I want to thank everybody for making me fell very welcome for visiting this message board. It has a very warm and friendly quality to it. Just like a big family. That was not the case with the last message board I was a part of for a very large reenactment that was held a few months ago. For the most part you heard alot of complaining, whining, fusing, name calling, and inflated ego's running rampant on that board. But enough of that board on to this one. I have a question and I know that this is the right place to get an answer for it. I read somewhere, I can't remember where I read it now, but before shooting began for the movie, DDL spent several weeks in a cabin away from modern civilization and with no modern convieniences. Just the tools, aquotriments and supplies that would have been found on the frontier for that time period to get a feel and better understanding of what life was like at that point in history and to experience frontier life. Does anybody know if there is any truth to that? Again I want to thank everybody for making me feel so welcome.
