: : To my Dear Colleague, the Dutch Trader:

: : Greetings from the Hudson Valley, the Heart of the Dutch trade business. I have learned from visits up North, that wooden shoes are quite popular with many of the ladies. The pointed-toe natural wood shoes are not only popular, but practical for us in the 1750s. They keep the Ladie's feet dry, clean easily, and are most durable. Perhaps the Dutch Trader would be interested in bringing some to the G2000 Trading Post?

: ET, dear colleague!

: You forgot to mention that the pointed-toe wooden shoes offer the ladies some impressive means of self-defence :)

: Yes, I am sure we can work something out for the G2000 Trading Post.

Dear ET & DT,

Said our esteemed Dutch Trader,
"pointed-toe wooden shoes offer the ladies some impressive means of self-defence."

Now, that is a good point!!!!

But, may I add, why wait for the need to defend oneself? Take the initiative ... a well turned heel knows how to boot all scoundrels, scalawags, & scamps quite pointedly before they may seize an opportune moment to ravage & plunder.

As your wooden shoes promise to be a popular fashion item, might we find a Dutch Cobbler at the G2000 Trading Post?

I hear the Scotsman's daughter, dear Miss Kate, is busily quilting her own stock of Trade Goods.

Regards,

Mohicaan Bountyess
