Hi Everyone,
Collin just finished the Deerslayer and he was wondering when people were going to start talking about it. I have to admit, I haven't been keeping up. I should be because I am one of the one's who started this whole thing. At least my other half has been good! He is ready to start sharing his thoughts whenever you all say.
On another note, Seeing the pictures of everyone in their "Old West" garb is fun! Thank you Rich for starting the fun!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday Season!
All the best,
Ayesha
: : : !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chapter 15!!!!!
: : : And I thought I was doing really well to get to chapter 9 so far...of course only what, 2 nights and a bit have passed in the book; Mr. Cooper does take his time (238 pages to be exact!)(and the night vision of these guys had to be great; glad to know they didn't need glasses!).....but will try to get to Chapter 15 as soon as I can.
: : : However, Gayle, I will finish this book; no matter how long it takes me....

: : Hi Jo,
: : Don't feel bad. I'm on Chapter 9 too. If they get too far ahead of us, we'll just have to have our own little book group for slow readers.
: : : As far as the Sherman Alexie book which I thought we were reading; "Indian Killer"; got that finished in a few days....what is it? "Reservation Blues" we are supposed to be reading??? Oh, darn, another trip to the bookstore....
: : Well, I got into "Reservation Blues" and finished the whole thing. There never were very many comments on the board about it. What did you think of "Indian Killer?" I thought it was way too dark, and not typical of Alexie's other works, to be used for a first introduction.

: Chris,
: Well, at least I am not the only one (Hey, Collin, what chapter are you on these days....???)
: Indian Killer??? How did I feel about it?? Kinda unsure; sort of still wondering exactly why the main character did what he did and all of a sudden just walked off the building....I may have missed something; however, I did finish it; and did like the writing. Now, if that main character could have talked as much as the Deerslayer; Hurry or Hutter.....maybe there would have been more insight...
