: : : BUT......to tear apart Bogie's lines......to so alter that classic film just to make it a "90's" compatible film?  Give me a friggin break.  I don't care what anybody says, that is plain, downright, lizzie borden style editing.  You GOTTA have those lines in the film.  You just GOTTA!  Somebody needs to get real with this editing stuff.  Bogie says "see ya when I see ya" instead of "here's lookin at you, kid"?  It was a 40's film for crying out loud!  Why dub in 90's language and slang?  That makes no sense and they are a breed apart.

: : Ummmm...er...Billdeer, I don't know how to say this...but I MADE UP the stuff about BOGIE!  It was just supposed to be a "for instance" kinda thingie.  I can't imagine that they would really DO such a thing.  But then...I would never have imagined what HAS transpired on that other dvd which will remain nameless.

: Putting classic movies on DVD is a relatively new thing here, and look how they have started out.  So.....I have a great deal of trepidation about what comes next.  Remember how outraged people were when Ted Turner began tinting the old, classic movies with color?  I would hope that people would be at least as outraged to trade some better color and sound at the sake of some important parts of the original movie....I still say the bozo graduated from the Lizzie Borden School of Editing. *singing....Lizzie Borden took an ax, gave her father 40 whacks, and when she saw what she had done, gave the movie 41!*
