: : It is on the beautiful coast of the Florida panhandle, sometimes referred to as the "Emerald Coast" due to the greenish-blue color of the Gulf of Mexico water during certain parts of the year. It is really a sight next to the white sand of the beaches. It is between Pensacola and Panama City.
: Sounds gorgeous!
: The way Marcia was talking, I thought maybe you lived right next door to me or something!
: Let's see, how do we make this tie in with LOTM? uuuuh....
: Well, we're talking about Florida, which is the home of the most famous Mohicanite ever, Mighty Mohican Mama Marcia!
: Can you post a picture, or a picture postcard, of Ft. Walton Beach, Bruce??
: Myrrh
: P.S. Have you viewed the DVD yet?
Hi Myrrh, Bruce and Marcia!
I have had the pleasure of visiting St. George Island which is located just east of Panama City. St. George is a BEAUTIFUL, practically deserted vacation spot. You are so lucky to be able to live in a place like that, Bruce. I would like to see a picture, too. Any interesting historical sites in or around your area. Some 18th century shipwrecks perhaps? We've been doing kind of a Hometown History thang on the board.
How about you Myrrh? Got some Hometown History to share? It might help to keep you occupied while waiting on your DVD to arrive. :)
