: Bill asks:
: : Is it true that you were Cora's stand-in for all the hugging and kissing parts? That Madeline just couldn't get it right, and your contract was VERY clear on when you were to be dubbed in?
: Hey, Bill! SOME say that's the way of it, but truth to tell, it was *I* who not only stood in for Madeleine, but who actually taught shy, sweet DDL how to kiss like a HERO! He WAS a quick study, I'll confess, but since we wanted that scene to be PERFECT for Mr. Mann, we practiced a LOT! "Tilt your head this way a bit more, Hawkeye, Honey...put just a little more 'oooomph' into that smooch, if you will. That's delicious...I mean...GOOD, but not quite perfect. Let's try it again. I'm SURE we can make it a tad more passionate, if we really try. That's better, sweetie pie, but let's rehearse for another hour or six to be absolutely SARTAIN!"
: MMMM
Poor deluded creature. Did you not notice that *Hawkeye* never
said anything, and that he kept having bits and pieces of
straw fall out from his costume every time you tried to
have your way with him? Didn't you see he was always kind
of sagging over to one side, and his eyes had a fixed,
glassy expression??? Now admittedly this same condition
has afflicted those of us who frequent Bumppo's -- especially
on Fresh Corn Squeezins Night, or Gnome Karaoke Night --
but in your particular case, Miss, you've been lip-locking
the Doctor Mary Patented Hawkeye Crash Test Dummy!
Doc M, cackling insanely as she picks through the bones
of her leftover Thanksgiving Gopher!
