Hey, Bill! SOME say that's the way of it, but truth to tell, it was *I* who not only stood in for Madeleine, but who actually taught shy, sweet DDL how to kiss like a HERO! He WAS a quick study, I'll confess, but since we wanted that scene to be PERFECT for Mr. Mann, we practiced a LOT! "Tilt your head this way a bit more, Hawkeye, Honey...put just a little more 'oooomph' into that smooch, if you will. That's delicious...I mean...GOOD, but not quite perfect. Let's try it again. I'm SURE we can make it a tad more passionate, if we really try. That's better, sweetie pie, but let's rehearse for another hour or six to be absolutely SARTAIN!"
