I don't think it's a good trade, putting in more fighting/long shot scenes in the War Party scene (because they're not really necessary), and taking out the above-mentioned lines.  Does that make sense?  Was he going for a certain length on this expanded version?  Is that why he removed them?  I don't see the need, myself ...

: Well, I'm babbling.  Just disappointed, I guess.  I still cannot wait to see the rest of the DVD, though.  Even if this version of the movie won't replace the ole' tried-and-true copy, it's still great to see "new" footage, shots, etc.  

: I will, of course, post my after-the-viewing thoughts.  Oh, by the way, the sound on my DVD was fine.  I wonder if your player was set wrong?  Is that possible?
