LOTM DVD - Sounds like a real turkey!

Yes I ran out and bought a copy even though Idon't have a DVD player. Sounds like I need not bother.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY CUT OUT THE SERIOUS DISAGREEMENT LINE! That was the memorable line of the film for me and prompted my purchase of the VHS copy several years ago and my personal obsession with this film.
If this is MM "definitive vision," his eyesight must be blurred by the initial swirl of media hype surrounding the Insider.
Most director's cut give you as much as 30 minutes of new footage (heck, Kostner added alomost an hour to Dances with Wolves). We should sue 20th Century Fox for false advertising ("Expanded Directors Edition??") - we'll settle out of court if Mann agrees to provide all Mohican Maniacs at this site with a real expanded version!!
I guess we'll just have to refer back to the script for extra scenes and nuances, as well as our imaginations....
(My own revised ending has C & N arriving in time to help Uncas kick some Huron butt, preventing the deaths of U & A. Uncas is just too righteous to die!)
