Thanks for all that Rich. And, it is a special week for me too.
THE FIRST KILLDEER IS DONE! Finished. Complete. Fini. Ready to go out on Monday to the customer. I have to take pictures yet today, but it looks exactly like the pictures of Hawkeye with his rifle there in the Cameron's meadow picture. So, something that has been in the works, and off, and on again has come to pass. Killdeer rifles are now a fact of life at Mohicanpress and are being produced in Mohicanland gunshop. And where ELSE should they be a fact of life? Nowhere but here!

It is a special week for other reasons too. This will be our (Betty and I) last Thanksgiving celebrated in California. Early in the new year we are off to living in Wis-Con-Sin on the frontier - her (as always) acting like the Medicine Woman, and me to providing firearms for the settlers.

And it being Thanksgiving week, let me say that:

I am thankful for Betty, and every day that I am able to spend with her.

I am thankful for life having faced the possibility of joining Uncas alongside the Master of Life.

I am thankful for my sons, whom have become fine young men and are as much a joy to my heart and a pride to me as Uncas was to Chingachgook.

I am thankful for those friends who have stood by me, and supported me, and been there when most needed....as well as in the good times.

I am thankful for the life I have had, and for the talents I have been given, however humble, and for the opportunity to do things I have enjoyed. I am also thankful for those sad times, as they are a part of the circle of life, and they are the measure by which we know happiness.

And, not least of all, I am thankful for Rich and Elaine's great spirit in welcoming me back to Mohicanland and providing such a rich village for us all to engage in our social, business, intellectual, and frivolously humorous endeavors.

Oh! Oh! And I am thankful for gnomes, as the poor creatures keep Doc Mary Looney Tunes occupied and save US from her abuse and "ministrations"!!!!!!!!!

And so much more.............
