: The basic story is Mel plays a widowed French and Indian War veteran with like seven kids who is now a pacifist farmer in South Carolina. His oldest son joins the Continental Army and when the war moves south.. Mel is forced to become a Mititia leader and save the Colonies from the dasterdly British.. especially from one Dragoon commander, "Tavington" based on Banastare Tarleton. It is being filmed on and near My own home historic site "Historic Brattonsville" in York and Chester Co.s here in South Carolina..
: Rich, I haven't met any of the people you mentioned.. but I'm not sure what parts they are playing.. lots of other unit stuff going on..if they are townsfolk or something else I probably will never see them..

Joe --
Thanks so much for the great updates on the movie. I didn't know Mark Baker was involved but I feel much better about the movie being as accurate as it can be (recognizing it's not as accurate as you experienced re-enactors would like it to be). I look forward to seeing the pictures, and more stories about the filming.
My other thought is -- and I may have missed something -- but it seems there are others in this movie also in LOTM which maybe we haven't heard from yet? It would be great if we could get them to visit our MohicanLand family and maybe join us.
Anyway, can't wait for more updates.
Cheers,
Sarah M.
