Had to laugh a long while over this one! My family watched Bonanza every single week, without fail. I'm not complaining, you understand, as you'd have to be pretty heartless not to be touched by Michael Landon's cute smile...BUT!....there was a standing joke around our television whenever a pretty gal made a guest appearance on the show...we'd all be yelling warnings to her, "WHATEVER you do, do NOT kiss Little Joe!!! No, NOOOOOO! Don't DO IT!!!!" It was surely the Kiss of Death for any young lovely who visited that neck of the woods! Poor Little Joe...he'd fall in love with 'em, give 'em a kiss, and the next thing you knew, those gals would come down with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever or rattlesnake bite or death at the hands of some ne'er-do-well from the past or fall off a cliff, or just any number of dreadful happenings that would keep Little Joe a batchelor for one more week. SEW sad!!
