: : : Speaking of music, we've received permission, directly from Dougie MacLean, to use his version of "The Gael" on our Web Site ... we'll have it for you soon! For those who have never heard it, it begins in drastically different fashion than you are used to, before blossoming into the fiddle-style of LOTM.

: : Well, some may have had trouble changing the clocks back; I had trouble getting on the board yesterday.....talk about a busy day!
: : Thanks for the update...the Major Bray (Thank you Mr. Bray) bibliography on the French & Indian War....what a list!!!! Check it out if you haven't already. Always subject matter for the book club...
: : Am looking forward to Sarah M.'s music tie in...
: : Liked the "new" title on the main MohicanLand page; glad to see the "On the Trail of" not split into two sentences...at last..
: : Did Mr. MacLean have anything to say about writing the music about LOTM or did he(or his office) just give permission to using his music???

: Happy All Saint's Day, Jo!
: We received permission to use the music. The LOTM participation will be part of Sarah M's Musical Musings.
: Speaking of music (as in REALLY great Celtic music) ...
: Kate, have you by chance heard the CD "Scottish Moors" by Jeff Victor? Or "Celtic Odyssey" ... a mix of various American, Scottish & Irish artists including Altan's "Donal Agus Morag"? These are absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!
: For that matter, have you heard Loreena McKennit?
: Anyone who likes Celtic music, check these CDs out ... you won't be sorry!
I purchased a CD with the title "Scottish Moors" awhile back. I lent it to my sister. She loved it so much she still has it. Is it the one with a few "nature sounds"? Very dreamy.
