We only had one day of misty rain & gray skies, but even it was absolutely beautiful, as you can see from the above picture. Those "smoke signals" in the distance are actually wispy clouds trailing down from the sky into the valley below. We drove in and out of them all along the Parkway, heading up to the Pisgah Inn for lunch.

That is a really great pic there Marcia. Beautiful colors and looks untouched, like before man put his first dirty foot on it, to paraphrase John Wayne.
