While out driving one day, we came across this little house, surrounded on every side by huge drifts of purple asters...veritible hedges of them. The color was so stunning (the pic doesn't do it justice!) we had to stop and take some photos. A very friendly white-haired gentleman came out & told us we were welcome to walk around the yard as long as we wished, and to help ourselves to a big bouquet if we wanted to. He then told us he'd love to stay and visit, but his "club" had just shot a "bar" and he was on his way to help dress it out. We DID get out and take quite a few snapshots, but didn't pick any flowers, as we had nowhere to put them, and they looked so lovely on the bushes, we left them untouched for others to enjoy.
