Okay. Suppose we shoot for doing Chapters 1-3 by the weekend of the 6th? Or do we need another week?

Do read the Preface, because that's where Cooper explains what he is trying to do with the characters, and it will help orient you. And as you read, get familiar with the features of the lake, because the physical layout will play a big part in how the plot unfolds.

Just pull on your buckskins and moccasins, leave the 20th Century behind, and plunge into the forest. It's such a beautiful place.
