Then it is an interesting contrast to look at his personality 15 years later in "The Last of the Mohicans", or 17 years later in his one and only love affair in "The Pathfinder". He changes radically as a person as the books progress. This would also give us a chance to meet Chingachgook and Hist O Hist before Uncas was born.

Hey! Me too! But like Jenifer, I have to make a quick trip to Amazon.co.uk first! Once I have the book and start reading, I'll take part in your discussions too. Funny, isn't it, Gayle, how this idea seemed to spring out of thin air? Another reason to believe in 'fey'?!!
