: : Thanks for sharing about the Gathering, Jo! * still laughing about the bunks* I am looking SO forward to going. Somebody mentioned the bonfire in an earlier post, and I thought it all sounded so neat. I am still AMAZED that so many nice people managed to find each other and have such a good time...being perfect strangers in the beginning. I met Jayne (from this board) last week for lunch, for example. I felt like I'd run in to a good friend I hadn't seen in years. We both talked non-stop for more than an hour while I scarfed my brouchetta and she nibbled her chicken salad. Jayne had so many fun things to share. I have no trouble believing the Gathering will be just as rewarding! Thanks again, Rich and Elaine!!... and EVERYBODY who makes this board such a nice place!

: What you say here, Dana, is VERY true! All these heretofore faceless names come together and it really is a remarkably comfortable experience! All in all, everyone comes across on this Board pretty much as they are in "real-life," and so when meeting face-to-face at The Gatherings it's all very easy. Plus, as Jo can attest to, it's pretty much go, go, go ... not too much time to sit & quarrel! :) Sarah M., who makes a living traveling, often times stops in to visit with Mohicanlanders here & abroad ... It always seems to work out for her!
: I think everyone who attends a Gathering comes away with something positive! It surely must be that everyone approaches the event, the first time, with some trepidation ... I think those fears are quickly laid aside one we are Gathered!

An understatement; "go go go" ??? How about non stop??? (We have our pictures of the sunrise AND the sunset all in one day of the 1999 Gathering...)But loads of fun and great people, I do agree with this ...and worth the "no down time"!
