I too have been looking at DVD prices. I didn't catch the model number, but the Sam's here has a Panasonic model for $159.99. They also have package deals where you get a free DVD with the purchase of a TV. Sam's has a pretty good selection of DVD movies available also which ranged in price from $13.99 - $18.99. I was shocked at their prices, I had anticipated them to be much higher. Walmart also has had DVD's on sale in the $160-180 range, and I believe they were Panasonic models also. I'm sorry I can't vouch for the quality since I haven't purchased one yet, but it's nice to know affordable models are out there.
