: Hello,
: The DVD came out on October 4, I believe. It should be available on amazon.com or www.800.com, which is a pretty good place to buy DVD's online as well. I haven't gotten mine yet, but I will be soon. It has deleted scenes and some other additional materials, I'm not sure of the specifics though.
Actually, release date is still set for 11/23 ...

Reviews
From Leonard Maltin's Movie & Video Guide
Rousing, kinetic update of the James Fenimore Cooper classic, replete
with 1990s sensibilities, potent depiction of violence, and a charismatic
central performance by Day-Lewis as Hawkeye. Wavers between
sweep of historical fiction and smaller canvas of its love story, but never
fails to entertain. Oscar winner for Best Sound. Screenplay by Mann and
Christopher Crowe from Philip Dunne's script for the 1936 film.
Evocative score by Randy Edelman. Panavision.
