: Good morning, Marcia and everyone!
: Here is my list of things I love on this side of the Atlantic, it's totally incomplete, but here it goes:
: I looove the gorgeous landscapes, the desert, the blue sky of Arizona, mint-chocolate chip ice-cream, the easy going lifestyle, the optimism, tacos and chimichangas, pumkin pie and banana-nut muffins, picknicks at the park, I like the store opening hours, that people are mostly friendly, that houses are affordable, good music radio stations, porches, all-you-can-eat restaurants, orange-spice tea, that telephone bills list each long distance call, corn chips and salsa, the low taxes, that kids can learn to play instruments in school, that internet surfing is so cheap, the pretty bathrooms, that you can have coffee at bookstores...
: Running out of breath...
: So, any better? :-)
: Take care,

Hey Petra,
GREAT list - I like all those things too (especially the coffee in bookstores), although I'm sure we take some of them for granted. But, I didn't see baseball and apple pie there - just kidding. Actually I do love baseball, and I'm not sure if it's the fact that I hated being a girl as a child because I wanted to play so-o-o-o bad OR now that I'm a big girl, do I associate it with Kevin Costner. I think, I'll have to be honest and go for the Kevin Costner thing. By the way, if anyone does like baseball his new movie "For Love of the Game" is a good watch (notice I said "IF" you like baseball - otherwise it's just a chick flick). But I like both, so I enjoyed it. And in regards to the pie, I also love pumpkin pie and peach pie (warm with ice cream please.) Omigod! I feel myself spreading just thinking about it!
Oh well, I was in a *my favorite things* mood too. It's also easy to tell you live in the Southwest by your food items. Try a little fried chicken and 'tater salad on your next picnic, meanwhile I must go call in a chalupa for lunch.
Have a good weekend,
Diana
