: Hi, Petra.  Well, I guess I wasn't so much so much worried about offending as I was about being rude.  I felt that comment might be rude.  

: There is always something somebody doesn't want to hear.  It seems nowadays you can't turn around without offending someone.  You can't please all of the people all of the time, as they say.  Well, I think that's where simple good manners come in.  I haven't come across anyone yet who can get it right every time, or even most of the time,  but I always appreciate someone who sincerely tries.
