I am sure he didnt mean it that way Pat. And he did say "some" not all. In every group there can be found some who are more intolerant or troublesome than the group as a whole. I think that is all he was saying.

Funny how something that happened 200 or 300 years ago can still stir up passions and sides are picked.

Congrats on the DAR membership. Wish I could positively identify a relative back to that time in history. Best I can do is to prove our family was on both sides of the war between the states (with far more on the southern side I might add) and that we came into Kentucky and Tennessee late 1700's.
