: : Well, let me get this here peach cobbler out of the oven, and get started puttin' together the fixin's for a Fish Fry. My handsome hunk, Benton, has just sent me a message that he has finally landed that big ol' catfish, and is headin' my way with a whole crowd for dinner. Oh, boy! I do SEW love fried catfish and hushpuppies. I'll just get this batter all stirred up and ready, and cool down the fixin's for some nice mint juleps to go with Oh, I should get the grease to heatin' up in the skillet, too. This will be SEW tasty! ! When the gang gets here, I'll be good to go!

: Good evening, Miss Marcia,
: Since we all landed on you sort of unexpected, I stopped by the Calm Bee Nation and gathered up a bushel of sweet corn to add to the festivities. The Swarm is following me with some nice honey buns for dessert, and they are all abuzz over the prospect of a party. And, there comes Miss Gaylee Cooper through the door with one of her famous blackberry pies. Looks like most of the town is turning out to celebrate Bent's good luck.
: The Bee Holder
Well, Miss Marcia,
I hear Bent landed that big catfish and we're all going to have a party to celebrate! Here's one of my fresh blackberry pies that I baked just this afternoon, and here, let me put on this extra apron you keep hanging behind the kitchen door so I can help you with the fixin's. Quite a crowd collecting out there on the veranda!
Just between us, dear, I stopped by Miss Polly Anna's on the way over to see if I couldn't patch things up a bit with her, and she says she'll be coming right along. Strangest thing, too - - you know that big green chi--, um, parrot of hers? Well, seems Miss Polly Anna went looking for him a while ago, and where do you suppose she found him? Sitting out on her front porch carrying on some sort of birdie conversation with - of all things! - that mangey old hound Hector. And wonder of all wonders, poor dear lost Painter was sitting right there, cool as you please, looking from one to the other as if the three of them were the best of friends! Why here comes Miss Polly Anna now, and that French creature, Jeanne D'Arc with her. Well, bless my soul, if that isn't Basil sitting right atop of Painter's head and Hector trotting along like a royal bodyguard! Will wonders never cease around here!
