I've been following the stories out of NC very closely, and am appalled at the pictures I've seen. The thought of all the water being contaminated by the thousands of dead animals was particularly frightening. Do you have safe water or are you having to boil it all? I saw one farmer outside of Greenville whose dead hogs were floating up to his front door, then drifting away, then floating back up again. He said it was not only noxious, but very tormenting as the 4,000 or so hogs that were dead (his, alone) were his whole life's work. So sad! And, Bill, it is so bad that even coffins are floating up out of the ground at cemetaries. I heard the many dead cannot even be buried yet due to the wet ground.

I hadn't heard about the two towns that will be totally gone. It's utterly astounding what has happened there. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone! Diana, you & Cecelia, in particular, because we KNOW you, please let us know if you need anything! If it's in my power to help you in any way, I will!
