This is really a coincedence, Susan. Just the other day I wandered into our local audio books rental store, looking for some historical romance (a new interest of mine- I like to listen to books while I sculpt and these are the sort where I don't have to concentrate toomuch), any way I was looking for some stories about hunky Native men and I saw this tape called Into The Wilderness and thought I'd give it a try. Wasn't I surprised to hear the characters- "Hawkeye" and his son, "Nathanial" come up in the story...? Then I was even more surprised when just today , when I mentioned it to Marcia, she informed me that it was supposed to be a sequel to LOTM. I had never heard of it before.

And now you say your reading it. What do you think of it ? I like it so far, course, I 'm no literary critique, but it's interesting and certainly romantic and I find it fun to seehow the author imagined how things could have developed, had the story continued.
