Hi All!
I've just been chatting to my 'source of info' re: whether it is possible to record 'video to disc', so that we can transfer all our favourite movies onto disc to save for posterity - and that is a big 'positive', if you have the computer DVD kit! Great!! However, though you can do it without, you should really use a 'Video Capture Card' in your computer (does it in much less time and uses less space). In Britain, these Cards are not too expensive (@50 - at today's exchange rate, about $80.15 - not TOO bad for a bit of computer software. Perhaps, in America, they are even cheaper!). However, the way I see it is, the IMPORTANT buy is the DVD 'kit'! First, let me see that Director's Cut!! (Priorities, here!). The Video Capture Card can wait. However, that would make a simply wonderful Christmas present, dontcha think?! :0)
Hey, my 'informant' has told me he has found a place where I can get a DVD 'kit' for 100 - a full 50 cheaper than *I* priced them!! Things are definitely getting better and better!!
Also, finally, there ARE 'kits' which are multi-viewing 'kits' - they accept DVD's from ANY country!!
Yep, I just gotta get me one of those there 'kits'!! Then, roll on October 5th!!
Best wishes,
Kate.
