Wanted: Frontier Optometrist

Doctor Mary is hideously embarrassed to confess that she thought
the picture Richfed posted on the website this morning showed
Madeleine grinning like an overfed possum at her beloved
Hawkeye. Imagine her surprise when a friend said kindly, "You
beanbrain! That's ALICE!!" Ok, ok. So the person in the picture
is blonde and short and has sunglasses perched on her/his head.
It's certainly a mistake any semi-blind senile person could
make, and I'll thank all of you to quit snickering or I'll
hit you with my white cane. As soon as I find it.

Doctor Mary, who has now given up coffee and moved onto rotgut lattes.
