: Yo She,
: You jes hall ole Hector over - I got a poultice thet'll do the job. I also got a potion thet'll make yer hound real brave 'round kittens, iffen ya think thet'll hep. As fer the hut-raising, I thankee kindly. A crew from Bumpo's Tavern sounds 'bout right. Them three New Jarsey militeemen what wondered off from thar reggiement ought to be willin' to hep. They appears ta be right handy. I put a poultice on the fat one fer his headache - tuk his har off clean as a whistle, but they still calls him Curley.

Dear Old Crone,
I knew I could count on you. Poor old Hector can use all the help he can get. As to making him brave around kittens, I would rather you would make him brave around the lady hound I got my eye on for him. Seems like such good huntin' stock ought to be carried on another generation or two, but mebbe I waited too long. He seems a mite wore out fer activities o' that kind. Nonetheless, if we can just git him on his feet again, I know there's some life in the ol' boy yet!
Raisin' a new hut fer ye should be just the fun project we all need after gettin' over the after-effects of Miss Marcia's last wingding. All the town ladies are just itchin' to take a hand in designin' it, and once they agree on how it should look, puttin' it together should be a snap. We'll have ye cosy and comfortable long before the winter snows come.
Thankee fer yer willingness to patch up my hound.
