As he heals in her cabin, only covered by a small wash cloth, her compasion and mind-altering drugs makes him renounce his love for Alice. Uncas and Nurse Christie-Annie move to Can-tuck-ee where they live in complete bliss with their 6 children, thus removing the term "Last" from their name.
