: : REBECCA, was the movie "SILENCE" a Canadian film? Have you seen it? If it was good and is on video, I would like to track it down.
: Hi Ayesha,
: I am so sorry about my delayed response. I was out of town with the Dutch Trader.:)
: Regarding the movie SILENCE: Yes, it is indeed a Canadian production. I did see it on TV on SUPERCHANNEL but I don't think it is available on video...Hmm, did I like the movie? Yes, I did, although the subject matter wasn't pleasant. It dealt with a young girl who was sexually abused by her own uncle...
: I taped the movie a year ago, but I can't find the darn tape..GRR.. Should I find it, I'll let you know!!!
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for the information. I will keep my eyes open for the film.
The Native American Film Festival of San Francisco is trying to put together a library of Native films and documentaries that have been made starting the the 1970's. Some of these films have never been released into the mainstream. I hope they are successful. I have posted the URL down below. We attend this film festival every year and have been supporting their effort for many years.
You are lucky to live in Canada, Rebbeca. There are so many good films that are shown up there and not down here in the States.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone,
Ayesha
